Federalist 10

For homework we were asked to read Federalist 10. I had trouble reading most of it. I found it to be very long. In the end I felt I had no idea what I read. I do think it was a great way to practice reading at a higher level.

Ideology Quiz

In class we were asked to take an Ideology quiz to see which political party we belonged to. Sadly enough I ended up in the Republican party.

After we were asked to get in groups of other people that were in the same party. In this group we were asked to do research of our party. During the research we found out some good background information on the Republican party such as;

If I could register for any party

If I could register for any party I would choose the Democratic party. The reason why is because I agree mostly with the Democratic party. Most of their stances on today's issues are ones that I also agree/disagree with. Not only that but many people I know are very liberal and follow the Democratic party. I believe that is also a major reason why I myself would join the Democratic party.

Public Service Announcement (PSA)

This PSA really caught my attention only because it was geared toward someone that plays video games. I believe that if I didn't I would not understand parts of the video. I do think it was a good PSA and it kept me entertained by its humor. The only negative is that I didn't really know where this video was going until the end.

Would I vote?

If I was old enough to vote (18) in this years election I would not. One of my main reasons why is because I feel am not well informed in politics as much as I think I should be in order to make a good decision. I think it is important to know who your voting for and what they stand for. I know I have not had the time to research this years candidates to figure that out. I would not vote only to hopefully prevent a future mistake.

What is an American (in my own words)

An American is a citizen of the United States of America. One that pursues the American dream. Americans are fluent in English and take pride in their country. A true American votes because he/she wants a say in the future of their country. Americans have many freedoms and rights. Americans are very similar but diverse at the same time.
